Simone Atangana Bekono is a writer of prose and poetry. She has written columns and essays for several newspapers and magazines and is editor at literary magazine De Revisor. Her works include novel *Confrontaties* (2020), novella *Zo hoog de zon stond * (2022), and poetry books *hoe de eerse vonken zichtbaar waren* (2017) and, her most recent publication, *Marshmallow* (2024). She was Honorary Fellow at the University of Amsterdam in 2022.
