An independent filmmaker, she lives and works in Dhaka and Chittagong, Bangladesh. Her documentaries are stories that reflect on the human condition and include, among others, *My Migrant Soul* (2000), a story about the plight of a migrant worker; *A Certain Liberation* (2003), about a woman affected by war; and *The Last Rites* (2008), about the shipbreaking yards of Chittagong.
