Jan-Pieter ’t Hart and Isabelle Weber read Storytelling for Earthly Survival by Fabrizio Terranova. The Listening Group is a conversational communal research and discussion framework, attending to textual works by means of listening. The current focus lies on ‘reading films’, employing reading as a way to find openings that enable the participants to find connections to already completed works. Accessing films orally aims to bypass supposed visual entry points in order to attend to something not obviously phrased or only vaguely expressed. The chosen films are part of the trajectory bodies and antibodies in cinema by the study group curating positions convening at DAI.
